Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine: Part 5

Sunday, October 30, 2011
Lou Bury, preaching
Jesus is often painted as a gentle, meek man who preached love, communion, and fellowship.  Those things are certainly true, but they don't paint the full picture.  Jesus' love came from strength and he rebelled against nearly every political, religious, and social conviction of His day.  He understood what we must understand: only in rebellion can we submit.  This week: Jesus in rebellion.

The Ministry of Reconciliation

Sunday, October 16, 2011
Ina Montoya, preaching
We are all ambassadors of reconciliation as well as the fact that we've all received the call to be reconciled to God.  It's a double edged sword, if you will. Join us as Ina Montoya shares with us Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2; to be reconciled with yourself, with others and ultimately with God.

About Ina Montoya: Associate Pastor of the Jicarilla Apache Reformed Church in Dulce, New Mexico.  She has been working there since 1998 and works with children, youth and families in a Native American reservation town who's population is mixed with mostly Native Americans, many Spanish, and some Anglo-American, Asian-American and African-American people.

Sermon Series: Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine - Part 4: Part 2

Sunday, October 9, 2011
Lou Bury, preaching
Jesus prayed.  The purpose of His praying was the same as yours: to commune with His Father and to seek His will.  And, He prayed for us.  That we "may be one," and that we may one day be with Him.  This week, let me introduce you to a friend of mine.  Jesus in prayer.

Sermon Series: Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine - Part 4

Sunday, October 2, 2011
Lou Bury, preaching
Jesus prayed.  I don't know exactly how often, but my guess is a lot.  Sometimes he was alone, off in the mountains.  Sometimes He was with others, perhaps at a meal.  He thought prayer was so important that He told us exactly how to do it and, perhaps more importantly, exactly how not to do it. This week, let me introduce you to a friend of mine: Jesus in prayer.
