Sermon Series: Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine - Part 3

Sunday, September 25, 2011: Jesus in the Home
Lou Bury, preaching
Jesus ministered to people where they were emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  He sought them out.  He was "out there."  He went into the streets, and he went into their homes.  And, more than anything else, He wants a relationship with you so you can reside in His Father's home.  Eternally.  This week, meet my friend, Jesus.  In the home.

Sermon Series: Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine - Part 2

September 18, 2011: Jesus in the Streets
Lou Bury, preaching

We've all seen them.  Street preachers.  Handing out home-made leaflets, preaching with a cheap, tinny sound system.  Let's face it, we think they're a little "out there."  Well, Jesus was one of them.  Most of His teaching was not done in church.  His sermons were not directed to "church people."  Instead, they were directed to "street people."  This week, let's meet Jesus in the streets.

Sermon Series: Let Me Introduce You to a Friend of Mine - Part 1

September 11, 2011: Jesus in the Beginning
Lou Bury, preaching
Let me introduce you to a friend of mine.  Homeless.  Penniless.  Jobless.  Rebellious.  Timeless.  Misunderstood.  Emotional.  Loved.  Hated.  God.  Human.  Lived.  Died.  Risen.  Let me introduce you to my friend.  My Jesus.  My Savior.

Adoption into God's Family - August 21, 2011

Part 1:
Marge Vander Wagen, preaching

Is adoption rare these days or more common?  How many adoptions happened in DuPage County last year?  What are the privileges and responsibilities of the person adopted?  What do the parents give and receive when they adopt a child?  We will look at two Bible passages about adoption: Romans 8:12-17 and Galatians 4:1-7.  There are some losses to consider, but there are many more joys to celebrate.  I am adopted, are you?
