The Centurion

Good Friday, April 6, 2012
Lou Bury, preaching
A Centurion was a Roman military officer in charge of 100 soldiers.  They were tough, no-nonsense leaders in charge of the discipline and training of the best soldiers in the known world.  They were worldly, experienced, and battle-hardened.  Matthew records the words of one Centurion charged with guarding Jesus as He dies on the cross.  On Good Friday: "The Centurion."

Our God is More Than Enough

Sunday, March 11, 2012
Rev. Howard Hoekstra, preaching
As we face the issues of life, it is wonderful to know that God will be there for us each and every day, in each and every circumstance.  And, not only will He be there, He will be 'more than enough' for all we need in life and eternity.  As we celebrate the Lord's Supper together, we will see a visible reminder of these great truths and promises.

Sermon Series: Glory Days - Part 3 "Employment Benefits"

Sunday, February 26, 2012
Lou Bury, preaching
All of us who are not retired think about retirement.  We plan for it financially.  We look forward to the day when we can "sleep in," linger over a cup of coffee, pursue our hobbies.  Though we may retire from our earthly work, Christianity is not a faith of retirement.  We should never retire from the Lord's work.  This week:  "Employment Benefits."

Sermon Series: Glory Days - Part 2 "Say What?"

Sunday, February 19, 2012
Lou Bury, preaching
Currently in the United States about 1.5 trillion text messages are sent annually, or about 4.1 billion per day.  Globally, about one in six people, or 1.1 billion, have Facebook accounts.  We live in an age of vast, easy, and cheap communication, where trillions of words are sped across the planet in the blink of an eye.  Yet the world remains desperate to hear the one true Word.  This week, we'll talk about how to reflect God's glory to the world through our words: "Say What?"
